I've decided that I want to make this website about hope. That will be our free service. We will help others by giving them hope, support, and esacape. We will build this site so that is provides a few things (which I'll add to the about page later). We will provide for those who need it: Guidance, Support, and Distraction. There are those that have lost hope, we're here to point it out to them. There are those who need advice, I make no promises but we will try. There are those who need support, we will help them by giving them support groups and a community. There are those who may need distraction from their troubles, we will give them entertainment, interesting topics, and contests. If you would like to help out or have any ideas...let me know. If you are interested in this, please let me know. I want to get this thing going so I'm gonna. We're going to light the night one star at a time.

]]>Wed, 26 Aug 2009 19:35:43 GMT<![CDATA[We'll stand by you]]>Still brainstorming on the idea of a "Hope" website. Does that make sense? Oh well. Lol. Ummm...what was I thinking? One minute...That's right. I mean there is something that was said when building a website it is a good thing to offer something. Shadow Forest didn't and hasn't had much to offer beyond our every once in a while forums and everyday profiles. We don't even have regular attending members. Right now, Shadow Forest seems like a hopeless cause. But that's just it, perhaps that's the answer. And even in my life, I'm starting to lose sight of that "Hope". There was one time in my life when hope was lost. All gone. And in that one time I had 2 friends that stood by my side and helped me through the pain. (This would be when I realized I was gay...I felt soo hopeless then and Cara and RJ brought me through it). Had it not been for them...well I'd be screwed. I know there are some people out there. They have no one to stand by them. They have no one to give them hope. Perhaps that's what Shadow Forest can offer. We can offer a community where you are not alone. A community that will go through it with you and that you can turn to, vent to, and lean on. Perhaps we can build a community based on the hope that even in our darkest times, there is that small flicker of light that brings us home. We'll be your friend, we'll help you through it. And who knows, one day in the future someone else new to Shadow Forest...maybe they'll need your help and you can help them. I guess we'll see. Until I get this all figured out...

]]>Wed, 26 Aug 2009 04:46:43 GMT<![CDATA[Hmmmm...what about...Hope?]]>Was thinking today that the Shadow Forest still wasn't going anywhere. Pondered on it. Thought about it. Did a tarot reading on it. Tarot reading said the it was because I wasn't doing anything on it. Well duh! No one's here. What can I do. But that raises the question why isn't anyone here. Perhaps it's the theme. Now I like the background it's cool. I like the slogan "Lighting the night one star at a time." Then that brings me to the thought of that slogan. The Star is a symbol of hope. The light in the night that leads us to where we're supposed to be. That tiny flicker of light in the darkest of the night. In looking for hope for the Shadow Forest...perhaps that's the answer of the website. Hope. What does this site currently have to offer? Not much. Community and the call to "change the world." But we don't know the first thing about changing the world. So perhaps...we should put more focus on things. Perhaps we should be a sanctuary for the hurt and a beacon of light for the lost. Perhaps we should, as a website, strive to help people. Strive to bring them hope. I mean there are lots of problems out there, and we certainly can't solve them all...but remember the slogan..."Lighting the Night one star at a time." We'll give hope, lift people up, help people one problem at a time. Where can we start? A community. Well I guess we'll see. i'm not even sure I'll be able to have time to make the necissary changes. But we'll see.

]]>Mon, 24 Aug 2009 03:35:22 GMT<![CDATA[Whooo!!!]]>Man am I tired, and on top of that, Shadow Forest is still as dead as a doornail. Of course it is, I can never seem to get it off the ground. I can never seem to find that magical touch that will launch it into what I wish it was. Oh well. I mean I don't even know anymore what it's supposed to be. Maybe I should just take it down this October permanently. Idk...it just seems like a waste of time to me right now. That and I just finished camp, and I'm about to start back a busy life juggling school, work, and friends. What do I need this website for. Idk. Well why doesn't someone tell me. Why doesn't someone help me with something to get this thing off the ground. Anyway...I guess I'm off for now. I really wish I could get this website soemwhere...i really do. Well talks to ya later.

]]>Sat, 8 Aug 2009 21:13:52 GMT<![CDATA[Happy 4th of July!!!!]]>The thing I love about the 4th of July is what it represents. July 4th is right up the alley of this site because it has to do with some men that decided...well It's time for a change. As such they got together, made a community of people the all wanted the same thing, then set out to accomplish their change. Their big change was relatively simple, freedom. They didn't want to be under the rule of some egotistical money hungry king. So, they set off into a war that resulted in the United States of America (here's where you cheer). Without those people getting together and saying, "Hey, let's make a change," what place would this country be in. We can take  a page from their books and learn a bit from them. A change can never be made if there aren't people that will come together and say "Hey let's make a change." And thus the purpose of the Shadow Forest. We want to make that first step in coming together and saying "Hey, why don't we dream big, why don't we make a change." So, on this holiday let's think about it's purpose, change. Happy 4th of July!

I've released Shadow Castle including a little thing on religion and this sites standards and the About Shadow Forest page. So yeah. And then added 4 accents (to find out about these go to F.A.Q.S. and look under "How do I 'decorate' my profile." ) Man I am poopded. Well there are also more updates to be made. This includes a possible mythology of Shadow Forest. Next week spruz releases the big groups updates allowing groups on Shadow Forest. I also rearranged the forums today. Oh and then at some point I'll do the gallery. I also want to put out the memeber contribution page. But for right now, I'm pooped. See ya later. I'm off.

]]>Fri, 19 Jun 2009 08:40:45 GMT<![CDATA[First release of New Shadow Forest Midnight]]>While on vacation and in a place where no one could see me I've been secretly working on the stuff for Shadow Forest and now the first update to the new website has been released. Not too big because there is still bigger updates to be made. This update was the release of Midnight City and Starlight Village. Midnight City is home to the forums and gallerys and this here news. Starlight Village has all the member stuff. There is a lot more to come...hopefully. To get to places hover over the links in the navigation bar and a drop down menu should appear with the choices. if this doesn't work, then simply click on the link and it will take you to a page with all the choices.

Future Updates:

  • Edit and rearranging of the forums
  • Edit and rearranging of the gallery
  • Member contribution page and jobs so members can help build and maintain the site
  • The Shadow Castle (this would be the about this site and it's admin stuff)

These are the soonest updates to come. We are also hoping to get more members because if we get more active members...then we can start contests and stuff too. The new Shadow Forest is looking for a lot of member contribution. So the member jobs thing will be coming soon so those of you who would like to help out and have been here can totally do that. We would love your help.

To see your new profile click on the "Your Home" link at the top of the page. If you need some help setting stuff up or whatever, then feel free to visit the amazing "Profile" part of the F.A.Q. info center. To get to this, place your mouse over Gate or home or whatever it's called and then hover over it. Play around with them a bit. I hope you enjoy them.

Let's just say I'll have a new project to start on once the Shadow Forest Midnight Project is fully on its way after I return. A few things to look forward to after Wenesday the 17th:
 
New Profile blah updated from the mother site (spruz itself). Also those who are inactive can be deleted cuz I'll have the power to do that.
 
We'll need some volunteers that have actually been active on this site willing to visit the site at least once a week to do stuff. This includes moderators and whatever other jobs I can come up with. If you want to be apart of that you can email me or whatever and we'll see.
 
Tons of other new things but I don't have time to go over them. The profile and job things will be the biggest. So...see you when I'm back from Disneyland.

During this time we will be planning some of the stuff to come for the new Shadow Forest Midnight but we really won't be online and we won't really be releasing any updates. So, we hope you guys don't mind at all. Cara will be here the first week but she'll be pretty busy with family and getting ready for joining me and RJ in California. Feel free though to give us ideas with the form on the front and to sign up and to also post in the forums. You never know when we might check up on Shadow Forest in California ;). So see ya guys later. The new Shadow Forest is looking for it's complete update to be done after we return so it won't be released until after June 21st. See you guys later.

]]>Tue, 2 Jun 2009 23:56:22 GMT<![CDATA[Under Construction!!!!]]>I thought I'd let you know that the Shadow Forest is undergoing yet another construction. The Shadow Forest has been going through some experimentation such as the recent Leage Of Guardians that was tried but never went off the ground. Soo...we're going to try one final go at something called Shadow Forest Midnight. This one I want to keep on the downlow as in what it's going to come out to be until it is actually out there. Until I am near done, I will leave gallery and forums alone but I can't make any promises about how those will come out. I will say that the background and header that I currently have up is the idea of what it will end up looking like. I have left an idea box for you to give me some ideas if you feel like it. This is the final transformation of the Shadow Forest and the final attempt to get it off the ground. So...crossing fingers.
